Hi guys,
Hope to see you all in Vegas this summer. I am planning on going for at least the Senior event and more if I have any luck. Saw your postings about prices on hotels and such and thought I would give my two cents.
Expedia.com has some incredible deals on rooms and a lot to choose from. Even the Gold Coast was a little cheaper than someone posted if you want to stay there.
GL to us all. Look for me, I am the Tom Selleck look-a-like....Ok more like Brian Dennehy's ugly little brother.

Tentative arrival date is 6/16 and departure 6/24......nothing locked down yet. Definitely would like to meet you guys since we are planning on moving to Tampa eventually.
Speaking of moving, what is your impression of Beach Park area? We spotted a house on the internet that used to be the administration building, built in 1924 and converted to a house. It is at 4622 Woodmere Road.

I one lived and worked less than a mile from there.
1) it is beautiful. old and historic. I love the Westshore district
2) there may be no worse traffic in all of he USA than that square mile or two.
3) dont let the name fool you. there are no beaches. lol.

Beach Park is a great area. The whole westshore/south tampa area is nice. I would also consider areas like Hyde Park, Dana Shores (waterfront)

Beach park is AMAZING. Anything from westshore east to macdill and from bay to bay north to kennedy is generally decent. It's a little spotty, but it's the heart of Tampa.

Revised schedule for WSOP:
Arriving June 11th, Playing event 24 on June 12th, 4 day event, hopefully I can cash and last til the fourth day. Then on to the senior event , then out and back to Maryland on the 21st.
Better half made the hotel and airline reservations. Get to fly for free as her companion(sweet) and she had comps at the Imperial Palace so I get to stay for free there too. (more sweets)
Hopefully the Palace won't be a dump, can't say that I have ever noticed it, but the map says it's across from Caesars so it's not a bad location.
