Hey Joel,
Does your host support ASP.NET 2.0? If so, I can write a small converter utility that can convert a hand history to a suitable format that will correctly show the proper card icons. (You would have to make the icon representations more stringent to prevent the cards from appearing in the middle of peoples regular posts - such as :4h: for 4 of hearts)
So, you can have :Ac: :As: :Ad: :Ah: , etc. - that way the cards wont appear in regular posts.

My host is PHP/linux ... I don't think .NET commands would work.

Can we get the  card icon to stop showing up in every sentence?? "TH" maybe?

Burt is so smart  anks for helping out. Shane - we can put up a 3rd party page where people can convert HH's to the necessary format and then post here. It's an extra step, I know ... but there are few other options right now. I've got more ideas of how to make it more friendly, but I'm not that good at programming PHP. I'd like to have a checkbox below the post entry box that says "Hand History" that is unchecked by default and whenever you post a hand history, then it would turn on the ability to use the card icons.

For anyone else that wants to kill the Ten of Hearts. There is a way to disable smilies by default.
