Unraised preflop, your opponents can have any possible range of hands. K5, J5, also possibilities. I play flushes and straights extremely soft on paired boards. In this case you both hit the board and the money was going in... I would have check-called (depending on amount) when the flush card hit, and likely check-folded to a large bet on the river with a double paired board. If he makes a small bet I call but stay alive.

No way to put him on a hand there, but at least you got your money in marginally ahead.

you are raising with a weak flush on a paired board.
i would consider oing that live after i got my read on my opponent. but online?

Lucky's is juicy, IF your hands hold up at showdown. Both Yoder and I had top SET (with pocket K's!) go busto to a flush chaser, I lost $100 in a 3 way pot Friday afternoon (vs. AK and A6 soooted) flopping top set and running into the soooted donkey. I raised $20 preflop and pushed on the top set two spades flop, both players called. Last K in the deck for AK, but of course the retard that called $20 preflop in a $1/$2 game hoping to get lucky, did. Scooped 3 bills. wp obv. Good name for the card room. Lucky's. Ick.

EY had a similar experience yesterday. Sigh.

Doog.. In this case - and forgive me if I dont remember the hand correctly, but it was a raised pot preflop, going HU to the flop? - I have to NOT put him on a range of X-5 or X-2 because of the pre-flop raise, instead putting him on 7-7 and A-J or better. Certainly not impossible it's 5-6, but in that case, he checks his boat on turn so you may improve to flush. When I read your hand, I put him on 10-10 to Q-Q, his min raise was to see if you had KK -AA, may be.

I agree with Jesse about the shove. Since you're leading out, he should put you on big PP, he may fold 1010 or worse.. And unless he has KK or AA, but unlikely with your holdings, you're still drawing pretty good. May be he's super dumb with a worse flush draw or A-Q.

This is part of the reason I can't play these stakes. I can't shove for $200 when I know it' swhat should be done.... But trying to get BR there.. hopefully

played 1-2 while waiting for 1pm tourney. for the record i cant stand 1-2 with 100 max but all that was open and just killing time till the tourney. put my name on a 1-3 list but they couldnt even fill a table. what a joke.

(fyi the fri and sat night tourneys now start at 7:30pm instead of 6pm).

down 100 after 15 min after some coolers. moved to diff table and rebought. got it all back but 37. no major hands to speak of.

ended up being alternate for tourney. only 20 players. i bought in late, totally my fault, i made number 21. came in towards end of level two when first player busted.

totally card dead. my 11k was down to 3k at 200/400. i was sick of seeing a 3 or 4 every hand and shoved with 4/5 clubs just looking to stick it in on a flip since everything else i tried over the first hour didnt work. got called by a/k off and i hit a 5 to double up. went on a nice heater with some well time bluffs and good calls. made final table. nice bluff at final table when i limped on button on unopened pot at 1500/3000k level with 3/4 hearts. flop k 9 8. blinds check i bet 5k and take it down. nice pot considering antes are 300 also. built stack to about 35 to 38k now fiive handed. i go out on this hand. limp in small blind (think blinds are now 2000 4000 with 400 ante) with j/5 clubs. button and big blind also in pot. flop j 9 4 with two clubs. i check. big blind bets 6k. button raises to about 30 k which is most of my stack. i push for slightly more. big blind fold. button calls with j-7 off. ouch. i cant hit a club or get a tie so i'm out in 5th place. was paying 3 spots. 1st 500+ , 2nd 350ish, 3rd 220ish. oh well. so down about 95 on the day. good enterntainment for 4 hours.

one note.... 2 guys played heads up PLO and each bought in for 1k. an asian dude about 40ish and a guy/kid named Alex who wears a gators hat. Alex felted the other guy after about an hour of play. only got to watch a little bit of it when i was on a break but some huge freaking pots.

also saw EY on the cash tables.
